Northern Territory covers comprising 1939 OHMS with KGV 5d & Flying Boat Base Darwin imprint, 1940 Indo-China to Adelaide with triangular Singapore Censor h/s & Darwin transit b/s, and nine WWII Forces covers including two registered & four with rubber Unit Postal Station cancels, condition variable.(Qty 11)
1932 cover with superb embossed crest of the Western Australian Government Railways in red on the flap, to Darwin with scarce franking of 3d Airmail Type B perf 'OS' (Cat $500 on cover) + KGV 2d optd 'OS' tied by Perth cds, Brisbane transit & 'DARWIN NT/AUSTRALIA' arrival b/s. [There was no all the way air route from Perth to the NT, so the cover was sent east via Adelaide, Sydney (?) & Brisbane to connect with the Qantas feeder service to Darwin. The rate was 2d postage + 3d internal air supplement, regardless of the distance travelled]
