Great Britain - Used Abroad: "British Post Offices Abroad: The Glassco Collection" Robson Lowe auction catalogue (25-27/11/1969), with p/r. Probably the greatest collection of this field ever formed.
Box of mostly Victorian PPCs sent by former pupils to their teacher at the tiny Sandford State School (near Casterton), wide range of themes including country towns scenes, Freda Mae Rose birthday types, 1908 inwards from Philippines taxed with 1d Postage Due, postmark interest including BN '370' with 'MOUNT BLOWHARD' cds (3) & BN '295' with 'DARTMOOR' cds (2), advertising PPC for traveling optometrist with 'PAID AT GEELONG' cds etc. (Qty 100+)
NEW SOUTH WALES - 1850-51 "Sydney Views"
One Penny - Plate I (No Clouds): Soft Yellowish Paper 1d carmine SG 2 , margins just clear (at lower-right) to large, very fine Barred Numeral '2' cancel of Parramatta, Cat £400.
One Penny - Plate I (No Clouds): Hard Bluish Paper 1d dull lake SG 6 , margins close to huge, good strike of barred numeral '39 of Cooma (rated RR by Nibbs), Cat £400.
One Penny - Plate II (Clouds): Hard Greyish or Bluish Paper 1d dull carmine SG 11 , margins just clear (at upper-left) to large, a little aged, good strike of the rare Barred Numeral '45' of Binalong (rated RRR by Nibbs), Cat £275.
Two Pence - Plate I with Vertical-Lined Background: Intermediate Impression 2d greyish blue SG 16b , margins good to large with outer frameline at left, a couple of tiny nicks in the margins, good strike of Barred Numeral '78' of Cassilis (rated RR by Nibbs), Cat £275.

Two Pence - Plate II with Horizontal-Lined Background, Dated Bale & Dots in Stars: Worn Impressions 2d Prussian blue SG 27 [21; first retouch], margins large to huge with portions at least of outer framelines on all sides, fair strike of Barred Numeral '40' of Bombala (rated RR by Nibbs), Cat £225. Ex Wiggins. [While Gibbons lists only Early & Worn Impressions for Plate II, this stamp is clearly an Intermediate Impression, with only very minor wear evident]
Two Pence - Plate III with Undated Bale & No Dots in Stars: Early Impressions 2d ultramarine SG 29 , margins close to good, central strike of Butterfly '1' cancel of Melbourne, Cat £170+. [The empirical evidence suggests that prior to the Separation of Victoria on 1st July 1851, the stamps of New South Wales continued to be accepted in the Port Phillip District]
Three Pence: Soft Yellowish Wove Paper 3d yellow-green SG 39 , good even margins, light Barred Numeral '64' (with Reversed '4') of West Maitland, Cat £250.
Three Pence: Bluish to Grey Wove Paper 3d yellow-green SG 42 , margins good to large, neat Barred Numeral '2' of Parramatta, Cat £225.
NEW SOUTH WALES
1856-59 'REGISTERED' (6d) vermilion & Prussian blue SG 102, margins large to huge with part of the adjoining unit at the base, crisp Rays '86' cancel of Braidwood has caused two tiny cuts that in no way detract from the exceptional appearance, Cat £170.
QUEENSLAND - Postmarks
Numerals extensive collection on Hagners with many good strikes. Includes items rated RRRR (12), RRR (9), RR (44), also a few coloured strikes including 1904 Dunwich cover with the cds and numeral '544' in blue. Quality of strikes on the highly rated cancels a little mixed.
1880s-1890s array of mostly 1d greens & 2d mauves and mostly on small pieces. They have been trawled for numerals but the vendor says he's left plenty behind. An opportunity to add stamps that aren't pink! to your postmarks collection. (Qty 1000+)
1852 Queen-on-Throne Engraved Ham Printing 2d reddish brown SG 18 horizontal strip of 4, huge margins - except at lower-right where close - with part of the adjoining unit at left, ironed-out horizontal crease, Barred Oval '24' of Ballarat. A rare multiple.
1854-56 Queen-on-Throne Litho Campbell Printing 2d brownish purple SG 19 horizontal strip of 4 [11-14], margins close to large, a couple of tonespots & the last unit with small faults, Barred Numeral '2' of Geelong. A rare multiple.
VICTORIA - Postal History
1863 small cover to England with Perf 12 1/- Octagonal tied by Geelong duplex, unusually fine strike of the 'M' h/s in red signifying routing "via Marseilles" (endorsed at top).

Four Hagners of Barred Numerals mostly of little import but lots of clear strikes and on a good range of stamps. Then, lo and behold! half-decent strikes of '466' & '923' Type 2 both rated RRRR! (Qty 200 approx)
