1941 (Jan & Apr) apparently commercial airmail covers from US Forces on Midway Island each with Pan Am 'MAILED AT/MIDWAY/ISLAND/[birds]/...' cachet, the first at 60c rate with Guam transit b/s plus Hong Kong & Ceylon censor labels, the other at 40c rate with boxed 'NOT OPENED/BY/ CENSOR' h/s applied at Hong Kong, both with small 'A.V.2.'-in-circle h/s (Heifetz #5) applied at Hong Kong & rare on mail to Ceylon, some aging still an attractive pair.
