POSTAL HISTORY: Handy batch of domestic covers with better frankings including 1d red Bisects x2, 1d red perf 'T' used in lieu of Postage Dues x2, 4d blue single & pair on separate covers, 'OS' punctures 1½d green, 2d orange & 2d scarlet on OHMS lettersheets & 5d (Defective Upper-Left Corner variety) on 'WAR MEDAL ONLY' envelope registered etc, also 1930s registered covers including from 'ALBERT/NSW', 'ARGENTON/NSW', 'GOLSPIE/NSW', 'THULLOO/NSW' & 'KULWIN/VIC', etc, condition variable but generally fine.
POSTAL HISTORY: Covers to overseas destinations including 1d red x2 on taxed cover to USA, 1d reds on two covers to USA both readdressed to NSW with US postage added, 1½d green x3 on registered cover to Papua, 4d violet on postcard to USA, 2d overprinted 'OS' to GB, 1/4d on commercial airmail covers to GB x3 & Malta etc, also souvenir flight covers with 1/4d x4, etc, condition variable but generally fine.
'TWO/PENCE' ON PENNY-HALFPENNY SCARLET: Australian Bank of Commerce cover with single tied by 'GRAFTON/28JL30/NSW' cds being the Earliest Recorded Date of use and possibly a First Day Cover . [The ACSC states "Date of issue was previously given as 31.7.1930. However, dates of 28 29 & 30.7.1930 have now been confirmed. The earliest known date of use...is at Grafton"]
'FIVE PENCE' on FOURPENCE-HALFPENNY VIOLET: Single tied to plain cover to Jamaica (!) by superb 'TOORAWEENAH/2AU30/NSW' cds in violet BW #125y, minor aging & toning, Cat $1500. A very scarce First Day Cover .
HALFPENNY ORANGE: ½d orange with 'OS' Overprint Inverted as BW #69(OS)c but it's a forgery .
ONE PENNY GREEN: Overprinted 'OS' with the Watermark Inverted BW #82(OS)a, very lightly mounted, Cat $2500.

THREE PENCE BLUE: Overprinted 'OS' tied to Victorian Forest Commission OHMS cover to California by 'CRESWICK/9MY/34/VICTORIA - 7 ' duplex, Cat $1200 on cover.
OVERPRINTED 'OS': 2d & 3d x2 all unmounted, and CTO duo the 3d with Plane Dropping Mail Bag. No certificates so offered "as is" and unreserved.
Two marginal blocks of 4 plus imprint strips of 3 x2 & block of 6 (3x2); then with 'OS' Overprint corner blocks of 6 (2x3) & 10 (2x5) plus imprint strip of 3 (CTO) & block of 6 (3x2), many units are unmounted.
OVERPRINTED 'OS': Complete sheet of 40 (5x8), some crimped perforations, unmounted, Cat $2100++.
OVERPRINTED 'OS': Covers 1) 1931 airmail registered to London with 6d x3 (one without overprint) & numerous instructional handstamps; 2) 1932 airmail to King Island with 6d & KGV 2d; and 3) 1930s parcel label with 6d & Roos 2/- maroon (Third Wmk ?). Scarce trio.

COVERS: Opening Day cover with the commemorative slogan cancel & 'SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE/ 1 ' cds; parcel label with 3d Plate Number '4' pair + Large Kookaburra 6d x3; Local OHMS cover with 2d overprinted 'OS'; and window-envelope for the illustrated telegram.

COVERS: 2d & 3d both overprinted 'OS' tied to CSIRO cover by air to "Cloncurry NT" - Cloncurry is actually in Queensland - by 'CANBERRA/28OCT/1932/FCT AUST' machine cancellation, Brisbane & Cloncurry transit datestamps, forwarded to "Burnside Station/Brocks Ck/NT", Cat $800 for just the 3d on cover. The rate was 2d letter rate per ounce + 3d airmail supplement per half-ounce. [Arthur's similar cover - both stamps damaged before being affixed - sold for $1130]
