Useful batch including Territories formular Letter Card, KGVI 2½d Envelope with Albino Embossing, STO Envelope QEII 5d for RAS Show used x2, KGV 1d 'MILITARY ENVELOPE' Type I (superb), QEII Letter Sheet overprinted for use as a postage due advice superb used), three different WWI POW Envelopes, WWII 4½d 'AIR MEDAL SECTION' Wrapper (superb unused), and a few others; also a folio of unused private formular aerogrammes with various permit numbers. Album with Postal Cards KGV Full-Face Coronation x3 unused, Victorian Scenes 'FLINDERS ST MELB' & 'GOLD DIGGERS, VICTORIA' unused, Star 1d red STO for Customs House Sydney x2 used, scenic Letter Cards 1d Fullface x2, Kangaroo x3, Sideface 1d blue 'PERTH ROAD, ARMADALE,WA' (scarce view) & 2d red 'MOSMAN'S BAY', Registration Envelopes mostly used some with added KGV frankings, Wrappers including ½d Kangaroo unused and KGV ½d+½d doubleton used, a few KGVI & QEII Envelopes with some STO, also a few Aerogrammes and two Telegrams (one with envelope), condition mixed but many fine.
AUSTRALIA:Carton including military works by Proud, Emery & Collas, 'Aerogrammes' by Stein, 'Picture Postcards' by Cook, 'George Rose Stereographer' by Blum, etc.
PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Postal History
1940s-1990s covers including Australia used in PNG registered from Buin, Lae (2), Moresby and Rabaul, PNG Pictorials to 2/- to USA, Austria and Germany, 10c Butterfly airmail to Solomons, 12c Shell on Customs Duty assessment card, plus modern commercial mail, 1970's Gibson Paquebot covers, a few aerogrammes, postmark interest including 'BADILI', 'CAPE RODNEY', 'DOGURA' and 'KAGUA' all on covers with red/black registration labels, 'KAWITO', 'MALAHANO', 'MILFORDHAVEN', 'MUMENG' and 'RABAUL AIRPORT'; also 1936 airmail to Denmark with New Guinea Birds 1/- & 9d 'AIR MAIL' overprints; condition mixed but generally fine.
POSTAL STATIONERY: Commercial usages mostly to Australia of formular aerogrammes including 1947 with curved Fiji header, 1950 with curved BSIP header, 1955 with 2-line BSIP header, 1957-63 Australian Territories two different types x2 each, stampless Post Office usage to NZ, usage to NZ with 8c meter 'PB 1' with unengraved datehead for the BSIP Information Service, and a batch of private mostly decimal period issues with various colourful frankings & one with small 'BARAKOMA AIRFIELD' h/s, also Aerogrammes 8c Fisherman x2 (different shades), 1983 South Pacific Games & another without overprint (error?) used in 1987; and Envelopes Seagull x3 from 'BUALA', 'MUNDA' & 'RANADI' (unusual rubber type with mss date) and Waterfalls x2 from 'MUNDA' to Honiara & two local usages at 'LATA'; some faults but generally a fine to very fine group.
