GENERAL ISSUES: Duplicated range on leaves with used Eagles to 80c x3, Napoleon 1c x2 & 80c, Ceres 2c & 80c x3, Peace & Commerce Imperf 25c x2, 30c x5 including a pair, 35c & 75c x2, Commerce 5c block of 4, 30c strip of 5 & 75c x2, four pages of Postage Dues including 10c brown block of 4, condition rather mixed but many are fine to very fine, also some unused/mint stamps, Cat £4600+.
NEW HEBRIDES:1925 Dual Currency Postage Dues 5d/50c with 'CHIFFRE TAXE' Overprint Doubled, additionally overprinted 'SPECIMEN', large-part o.g. Offered "as is" but we are confident it is genuine. [We can find no record of this error & New Hebrides "guru" Roland Klinger advises he has never recorded it. However, a client has advised that he acquired another example, from Bill Holland’s collection]
1888illustrated 'Freie und Hanse-Stadt Hamburg' lettersheet headed "Die Polizei Behörde" (= Police Headquarters) to the Police Department in Melbourne with 20pf only tied by superb 'HAMBURG' cds & 'T.'-in-octagon h/s, three Italian transits & Melbourne arrival b/s where '("7d")/MORE TO PAY'-in-oval h/s applied. [We expect that the lengthy letter contains interesting material]

Covers & Stationery including 1855 with ½a blue x2 on yellow envelope (attractive), 1858 part-outer with 1a red, 1858 with ½a blue tied '138' cancel and 'BOMBAY GPO/1 Dely' unframed b/s, 1872 East India Railway Electric Telegraph Department lettersheet with 'LOCAL/TPO BENGAL' oval d/s and North West Provinces 'F/NWP/No3' transit, 1911 with 'ALLAHABAD RMS/SET No1' TPO cds & French postage dues, WWI Forces with 'HS TAKADA/On Active Service' cachet, 1922 insured parcel tag with 'V/P/ESPLANADE/(CALCUTTA)' label, registered & official mail, illustrated advertising & instructional markings noted a couple of 'TOO LATE' types, plus Convention States group including 1903 QV ½a tied 'GWALIOR-STATE/ VICEROY'S CAMP POST OFFICE' hooded-circle d/s and 1910 registered with KEVII 3p 'CHAMBA/STATE' overprints x10 & provisional 'R' cachet on blank label, 1894 ½a envelope 'PATIALA/STATE' with 'BATHINDA RY STN' squared circle & 'POSTAGE DUE' cachet, eight inwards items from Germany & 1877 illustrated US cover to Jubbulpoor, postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.

STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1850 unpaid entire headed "Manila August 12 1850" & signed "RWHood", to London "via Marseilles" with light but fine strike of the boxed 'SINGAPORE/18 October/Bearing ___' d/s (Proud #PS7) on the reverse, London arrival b/s in red, two vertical filing folds.
1927cover with 'INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE/("1d")/TO PAY.' handstamp in violet, minor soiling on the reverse. Ex Thomas Osdene. Unrecorded by Keith Buckingham and the only example known to us.
1929(Jan 19) much-travelled American 2c Envelope to "Wake Island/Pacific" with numerous transits including 'TOKIO', Sydney several times where probably endorsed "Try via Honolulu", 'NAURU/19JE29/ CENTRAL/PACIFIC' & manuscript "Not Nauru" in red, Sydney DLO & manuscript "T30". A remarkable cover.
PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Issued Stamps
1946-48batch of airmail covers to Cuthbert's Misima Goldmine Ltd in Sydney with various Australian adhesives tied by 'SAMARAI' or 'BWAGAOIA' cds, one of the earliest underpaid with Postage Due 3d pair tied by Sydney cds.
POSTAL CHARGES:1960 (Mar) 6d on 7½d with 'IXIXIXIXIX' at the Base SG D1 marginal example with neat cds of 4MR60, Cat £450. RPSV Certificate (2017).
1917 South Africa ½d Postal Card with 'KARIBIB' cds and '105' censor, two 1919 German Postal Cards to Swakopmund both with 'PASSED BY CENSOR' English & bilingual cachets, 1924 Germany PPC to Windhuk with South African overprinted ½d & 1d Postage Dues, postmarks including two with Railways ovals (one on 4d 'SWA' overprint Registration Envelope alongside 'ARIAMSVLEI' cachet), 'EXHIBITION' and 'MARIENTAL' altered German-era cds, 1936 1d 'SWA' Postal Card uprated for 6d airmail rate to Germany, etc, condition variable.
Collection remainders including Postage Dues (Cat SKR18,000+ = $A2500+), commercial perfins, locals, "Cinderellas", etc, also a nice array of mostly pre-WWI postmarks strong in TPOs, condition variable.
