C of A - Other Pre-Decimals
1928 International Philatelic Exhibition Kookaburra M/S (central sheet position with perfs all around), a few reinforced perfs, typically light central strike of the Exhibition cds in green BW #133MSwa, a few shallow thins, Cat $800. Rare: very few genuine examples have been recorded. [For many years the ACSC listed only "red" & "green" inks. Consequently, the common blue strikes - now listed correctly - were usually offered as "green". This item is guaranteed to be cancelled with the genuine green ink. A similar item - the M/S in fine condition - sold for $690 at our auction of 18/11/2006]
C of A - Commemorative Covers
Collection of commemorative flight covers with the strongest section related to the 1919 Vickers "Vimy" England-Australia flight including 1929 10th Anniversary PPC, 1934 MacRobertson Air Race PPC of the 1919 flight route, and an extensive array of 1969 50th Anniversary covers & stamps from many countries, also material related to Harry Butler, Harry Hawker (including two PPCs) and Kingsford Smith including photographs of funeral services (noted 1922 real photo PPC of Ross Smith's funeral), memorials & aircraft etc. Impossible to duplicate.
1935 ANZAC illustrated 20th Anniversary cover with 2d & 1/- tied by 'NEWCASTLE/25AP35/NSW' cds, blue registration label, a few faint tonespots.l
1936-37 Scout Centenary Corroboree 'SCOUT CENTENARY CORROBOREE/---4JA37/BELAIR SA' tying KGV 2d to Boy Scouts Association illustrated 'AUSTRALIAN CORROBOREE' envelope to Victoria, some faint spotting.
1947 PICAO 'P.I.C.A.O./4FE47/MELBOURNE-AUST' on 2½d & 3d on plain cover, boxed 'PICAO/Melb Aust' h/s in violet on provisional registration label.

1997 Melbourne GPO set of commemorative covers for "Last Day of/MELBOURNE GPO/Circular Date Stamps" mostly numbered types but also including 'MONEY ORDER SECTION', 'BULK', 'BULK/STOCK', 'FAXPOST CENTRE' & 'PASSPORT SECTION'. A very scarce set. (Qty 35 different)
FIJI - Postmarks
Suva: undated boxed 'VISIT THE FIJI COURT/British/Empire Exhibition/1924' h/s in violet, part-strikes on various stamps to 3d, large-part strike on 1d block of 6, and two virtually complete strikes tying another 1d block of 6 to piece. Complete strikes are rarely seen. [Unusual usage of an instructional handstamp as a cancellation] (Qty 9 items)
