1940 Fahnestock South Sea Expedition (Oct 29) cover to USA with huge Expedition cachet & 'YACHT DIRECTOR II' both in blue plus 'Great Barrier Reef/...' h/s in red, AIF 3d tied by 'GLADSTONE/29OC40/QLD' cds, Brisbane 'NOT/OPENED BY/CENSOR' h/s in violet. [On 18.10.1940, the boat was wrecked near Gladstone & the Expedition abandoned]

1951 Gold Discovery/Bendigo Exhibition hand-painted cover of panning for gold with se-tenant pair tied by Exhibition d/s of 3JUL1951, signed "E Wm Ogden", a couple of tiny tonespots.
1952 Scout Jamboree (Greystanes NSW) partly-handpainted cover of scout tents signed "E Wm Ogden" with Scout 3½d pair tied by hexagonal Jamboree d/s, unusually self-addressed (in pencil) by Ogden.
