ONE PENNY KING GEORGE V: 1d tied to plain unaddressed cover by very fine 'CLYDE/6DE13/VIC' cds (rated RRRR) being three days before the official Date of Issue . At best per favor; at worst a fake, but the cds is genuine.
SIX PENCE KOOKABURRA: 6d horizontal pair with very fine oval 'RABAUL/APR 27 1915/NEW BRITAIN' datestamp in violet.

Large stockbook with an array of mostly low denominations with some annotation & a few better items noted including 4½d Die II CTO x3, lots of official and commercial perfins & some postmark content, also some "Cinderellas" & other unrelated material. Inspection is strongly recommended.

ONE PENNY RED: Annotated collection arranged by shade & stated to include G23 x3, 24 x2, 24½ x3, 28 x3, 28½ x2, 29 x3, 31 x2, 32 x3, 64, 65 x2, 66 x3, 67 x2, 68 x4 (one punctured 'OS'), 70 x2, 71 x2, 76 x3, 101 x3, 108½ (deep brownish red; now unlisted) etc, some postmark interest including 'GRASSY KING ISLAND' (rated RRRRR) on Die III, generally fine to very fine. Personal assessment of the shades is required. Ex Peter Silberer.

POSTAL HISTORY: Handy batch of domestic covers with better frankings including 1d red Bisects x2, 1d red perf 'T' used in lieu of Postage Dues x2, 4d blue single & pair on separate covers, 'OS' punctures 1½d green, 2d orange & 2d scarlet on OHMS lettersheets & 5d (Defective Upper-Left Corner variety) on 'WAR MEDAL ONLY' envelope registered etc, also 1930s registered covers including from 'ALBERT/NSW', 'ARGENTON/NSW', 'GOLSPIE/NSW', 'THULLOO/NSW' & 'KULWIN/VIC', etc, condition variable but generally fine.
POSTAL HISTORY: Covers to overseas destinations including 1d red x2 on taxed cover to USA, 1d reds on two covers to USA both readdressed to NSW with US postage added, 1½d green x3 on registered cover to Papua, 4d violet on postcard to USA, 2d overprinted 'OS' to GB, 1/4d on commercial airmail covers to GB x3 & Malta etc, also souvenir flight covers with 1/4d x4, etc, condition variable but generally fine.
ONE PENNY RED COMB PERF SMOOTH PAPER: Cover to "Private CW Higgins/Rest Home (Camp)/Macleod/Mont Park" with 1d tied by scarce 'TO HIGHTON/VIC' cds. [The Mont Park Military Hospital at Macleod Military Camp later became a lunatic asylum]
ONE PENNY RED COMB PERF SMOOTH PAPER: Plate 1 block of 9 with six Die II units & consequently three Die I-II pairs BW #71(1)ia, scarce 'TPO NARRABRI- BURREN JUNCTION/8FE15/NSW' cds. A terrific usage.
TWO PENCE ORANGE: 2d orange tied to local cover by 'EDGECLIFF/2OC20/-NSW-' cds, repaired tears at base & across ther flap, some toning mostly on the reverse. Believed to be the earliest recorded usage on cover . [The ACSC states "The date of issue has previously been given as 4.10.1920 but several [loose stamps used in Victoria] with dates in [late] September 1920 have been reported"]
THREE PENCE BLUE: Overprinted 'OS' tied to Victorian Forest Commission OHMS cover to California by 'CRESWICK/9MY/34/VICTORIA - 7 ' duplex, Cat $1200 on cover.
"MINIATURE SHEETS": Three sheetlets with the Exhibition cds in red of 29OC28 (four strikes; First Day of Issue), 31OC28 (thinned in the margin at the base) or 1NO28 (aged/suntanned gum but unmounted; Closing Day of the Exhibition), Cat $900.
"MINIATURE SHEETS": Lower-half of a sheetlet tied to cover with Exhibition imprint on the flap by a characteristically light but clear strike of the Exhibition cds of 29OC28 in green (First Day of Issue) BW #133MSwa. The only example we have seen of the very scarce green cds on cover.
LORD HOWE ISLAND PROVISIONAL: Amalgamated Wireless letterhead to prominent collector Alec Rosenblum with typed 'LORD HOWE ISLAND/6th Sept 1930/Herewith please find 5/- worth Sturt stamps, as requested per Radio of 3rd inst", signed "SFenton" & with a light but legible strike of the oval 'RADIO STATION/6SEP1930/LORD HOWE ISLAND' datestamp. [While it is not specifically stated that the stamps bore the manuscript endorsement, the request was made after people in Australia first became aware of the existence of the provisionals. "5/- worth" = 30 stamps]
COVERS: Opening Day cover with the commemorative slogan cancel & 'SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE/ 1 ' cds; parcel label with 3d Plate Number '4' pair + Large Kookaburra 6d x3; Local OHMS cover with 2d overprinted 'OS'; and window-envelope for the illustrated telegram.
