Extensive group of covers etc mostly with Melbourne cancels including States & KGV frankings, official mail, advertising covers, some postal stationery & PPCs including 'Gooseberry Farm, Gippsland' and lovely Jolley with vignette views of Mandarin Rock (Bright) & Albion Woollen Mills (Geelong), plus postmarks on stamps & pieces interspersed throughout, also album with similar from Tasmania, condition generally fine.
1913 TH Wood Seed Merchant & Nurseryman illustrated advertising postcard with Kangaroos 1d tied by Brisbane machine cancel, undeliverable with 'UNCLAIMED/IPSWICH' cachet & 'DEAD LETTER OFFICE/BRISBANE' cds in red on face, couple of minor blemishes.

1920 (July 19) PPC of Townsville Hospital to "Victoria Nursing Home/Shanghai" with Kangaroos Third Wmk 2d tied by 'TOWNSVILLE' cds, two different 'SHANGHAI' arrival cds.
1925 Scottish PPC with 'PRESTWICK/AYRSHIRE' cds on ½d x2 only, very fine rubber 'T 1½D'-in-oval h/s & KGV 1½d red in lieu of Postage Due tied by 'BURNIE/TASMANIA' cds, light crease.
1925 South African PPC with KGV 1d red only tied 'SANDFLATS' cds & taxed with 'T/10c' cachet, to Tasmania where Postage Due 1d + KGV ½d orange Single Wmk used in lieu of Postage Due both tied by 'AUGUSTA ROAD/ TASMANIA' cds (type 2b; rated R+), some edge faults. Augusta Road PO 15.06.1870; closed 30.11.1927.

1953 PPC to Germany with scarce franking of KGVI 4½d red - Cat $300 for solo usage - tied by Adelaide Railway slogan cancel, lengthy typed personal message.
1960s-90s airmail PPCs mostly to West Germany with a wide variety of adhesives including solo 8c Ord River to NZ, 13c Avocet, 15c Galah, 15c Australia-Asia, 18c Rehabilitation, 1972 25c Olympics, etc, plus scenic Postal Cards 18c x3 20c & 22c commercially used with appropriate upratings. A very good lot.
1965 1965 PPC airmail to USA with Colombo Plan 1/- Helecon Paper - Cat $120 for 'solo' usage - tied by Brisbane slogan cancel, couple of minor blemishes.
1966-2000s covers accumulation with wide range of frankings noted scarcer solos including 1967 4c Gynaecology (rate changed to 5c ten days after issue), 1972 Christmas 35c, 1973 National Development 25c Iron Ore, 1975 PNG 25c on PPC and on second-class airmail to Germany, etc, range of destinations including NZ, Norfolk Island, India, etc, some illustrated advertising & 'tourist' envelopes, also Economy Airmail & "Card Only" endorsements, batch of Priority Paid mail including 'RECEIVED LATE/DUE TO/AIRLINE DIFFICULTIES' and other instructional markings, album of PO labels on certified & registered mail including Security Post, uprated postal stationery, etc, condition generally fine. Weighs 5kg.

GERMANY: GERMANY: 1935 PPC with Kangaroos 9d + Jubilee 2d tied by Sydney 'AIR MAIL/SAVES TIME' slogan & a rather redundant cds, light stains. [The rate was 11d for air to Italy then by train, or 1/1d for all-up air via Greece]
Small group including Port Pirie (SA) 'Harbour View', 'Railway Station' [train], 'Masonic Hall & Fire Brigade' & 'Alexander Street' real photo cards, 'Across Australia on one set of Dunlops' advertising card showing early-model car 'Bogged in mud crossing Salt Lake, WA', American Fleet 'USS Virginia' used 1908 from Melbourne, WWI soldiers photos x6 plus honour guard with flags (location unknown), various other topographical, artist & greetings cards, condition variable but mostly fine.
Early aviator real photo cards comprising Harry Hawker (British card), Bert Hinkler (advertising for 'Old Court Whisky' on address side) & Charles Ulm landing x2; also 1938 RAF England-Australia world record long distance flight x8; unused.
Railways group of stations, trains, bridges etc from NSW x16 including 1934 'Royal Train...' and real photo types including 1906 'First Train Leaving New Central Station...' x2 different, 'Arrival of Mail Train, Tenterfield' & 'Clarence River Train Ferry' (amazing!); Queensland x11 including 'Interior of Railway Workshops...', 'Boonah Railway Station...' & 'Stanley St Station - Rockhampton'; South Australia x12 plus 1d Postal Cards 'ADELAIDE RAILWAY STATION' & 'VIEW/OF/SOUTHERN RAILWAY' (both very fine unused); Tasmania 'Ring River Bridge Emu Bay Rly' & '...Doublebarrel Abt System Mt Lyell Rly'; Victoria x13 including 1920s 'Upwey Railway Station' (with Puffing Billy) & '800 Ton Wheat Train Leaving Woomelang'; and Western Australia Falk 'Off to the South Beach, Fremantle'; a few faults but generally fine to very fine.
