1932 (Nov) triple-rate cover to Singapore with KGV 2d vertical strip of 3 tied by two superb strikes of the straight-line 'Nieuw-Holland' ship's cancel & fine 'SOERABAJA' cds alongside. Ex Kevin Nelson. [The addressee, Oscar Blau, was for many years the Sydney agent for Eau de Cologne 4711. During World War I he was interned as an "enemy alien" at Liverpool German Concentration Camp where he collected covers from the inmates there & from other camps. The "Oscar Blau Hoard" of POW & civilian internee mail was discovered only in 1995, and remains one of the most important finds of Commonwealth Period postal history]
