POSTAL STATIONERY: c.1903 composite proof of KEVII 2c 5c & 6c in black on thick paper. [All of similar design to the 1903 15c SG 271. These designs were not used for postage stamps]
1911 usage of formular Registration Envelope (unusual size 181x127mm) to England with scarce albeit philatelic franking of KEVII ½d pair, 1d, 2d x2, 2½d strip of 3 & 1/- all tied by double-circle 'FALKLAND/+ ISLANDS +' cds, blue/white 'Falkland Islands' registration label, minor soiling.
1904-14 commercially used Registration Envelopes 1) GB 2d overprinted 'GOLD COAST COLONY' size F to Germany with ½d & 1d pair tied by 'OBUASSI' cds; 2) KEVII 1d+2d size G with 1d tied by 'QUITTAH/[crown]' & mss registration endorsement; & 3) KEVII 1d+2d size F with 'NSAWAN' cds & 'NSAWAM' registration handstamp; minor blemishes. EAST AFRICA & UGANDA: Commercial covers comprising 1) 1908 6c Envelope to GB readdressed to Italy with ½d strip of 3 added; 2) 1911 to GB with 6c & superb 'MOLO' skeleton cds; 3) 1911 usage to USA of 6c Postal Card with 'MALINDI' cds from a missionary at "Ngao Tana River/via Mombasa-Malindi-Golbanti"; 4 & 5) 2a Registration Envelopes size F to Great Britain with 6c added or size H to Germany with 3c & 12c added; a few blemishes. 1906 Overprints on Ceylon KEVII set SG 1-6 and 1909 Minaret SG 7-10 with both 2c, very lightly mounted or unmounted, Cat £285; plus the 2c+2c Postal Card & 5c Letter Card (hinge remnants on the reverse) both very fine unused. (Qty 11 + PStat)
1916 commercial usage to London 'VIA FIJI & VANCOUVER' (impressive private handstamp) of New Zealand KEVII 1d Letter Card with 'SAMOA.' Overprint, KEVII ½d tied by Apia cds, straight-line 'Passed by Censor' handstamp, opened but, remarkably, intact. A very scarce item.
