Postal History etc from Queensland including 1887 to England with Second Sideface 6d, two Thursday Island covers, 1d Postal Card "Botanic Gardens" (tennis court) etc; Tasmania including 1866 registration receipt, commercially used 1d PTPO Envelope & an unused Large Views 2d Letter Card "LAKE HARTZ"; and Western Australia 1900 to NSW with 'SUPERINTENDENT OF TELEGRAPHS' d/s, 1907 PPC headed "SS Bullarra/off Derby WA", Frank cutouts, and fine unused 2d Letter Cards (2, stuck), 2d Envelope & 3d Registration Envelope; etc, also a "round-the-world" PPC with stamps of 7 countries including Tasmania, condition variable but an interesting lot. Small Chalons 1d, 2d, 4d, 6d (handstamp inverted), 1/-, 5/- & 'REGISTERED' all with diagonal 'SPECIMEN' h/s, large-part o.g.
Excellent selection including Small Chalon used pairs of various 1d (3) & 2d (2) printings, and veryscarce used strips of 3 of 1d SG 97, 3d SG 66 & 3d SG 67, also Large Chalon Thin Paper 10/- mint, 1882-91 6d & 1/- both unmounted mint, 1890-94 3d & 2/- both unmounted mint, and 1870-71 Postal Fiscals 20/- fiscally used. 1860-61 Small Star Clean-Cut Perf 14 at Somerset House 1/- slate-violet SG 19, straight-edge at top, unused, Cat £425.
1862-67 Thick Paper No Wmk Perf 12½x13 1d orange-vermilion SG 30 (some very minor oxidization) & 3d brown SG 32 horizontal pairs, large-part o.g., Cat £310+.
1866 Wmk 'QUEENSLAND/POSTAGE...' 2d blue SG 51 marginal horizontal pair from left of the sheet with part of the elaborate watermark, large-part o.g., Cat £110+.

1880 Litho 2/- to 20/- each with diagonal 'SPECIMEN' h/s in varying directions, large-part o.g.
1880 Litho 10/- imperforate plate proof in reddish brown on ungummed Crown/Q paper, margins close to huge with part of the adjoining unit at right, blue-pencil lines partly erased.
1879-80 First Sidefaces 1d (both) to 1/- simplified set, 2d unused otherwise large-part o.g., Cat £385 minimum.
1897-1908 Figures in Four Corners 2½d perforated colour trial blocks of 15 (5x3) in slate-grey, yellow-orange, light brown, dull purple, mauve and carmine (on blue paper) on gummed Crown/Q paper, all but the last have a side-margin, a few minor tonespots or small blemishes otherwise very fine with full unmounted o.g.
1897-1908 Figures in Four Corners ditto, 2½d marginal block of 25 (5x5) in dull purple from right of the sheet, one unit at the base defective, full unmounted o.g.

NSW Imperf Diadem 6d grey-brown SG 96, close even margins, concentric-ovals (part of Brisbane duplex) cancel. [Moreton Bay District period]
1911 cover to "Harbin Manchuria" addressed partly in Russian with 1d only tied by 'BENARKIN' cds, good strike of the scarce '30/CTMS/T' h/s, 'NAGASAKI/JAPAN' transit & Cyrillic Harbin arrival b/s, opened a little roughly at left. Terrific destination. Ex Hugh Campbell & illustrated at page 116 of his "Queensland Postal History".
QUEENSLAND - Postmarks
Numerals extensive collection on Hagners with many good strikes. Includes items rated RRRR (12), RRR (9), RR (44), also a few coloured strikes including 1904 Dunwich cover with the cds and numeral '544' in blue. Quality of strikes on the highly rated cancels a little mixed.
QUEENSLAND - Postal Stationery
Envelopes - PTPO: 1895 Void Background 2d HG KB3 on blue stock with imprint of BD Morehead & Co on the reverse, to Melbourne (b/s) in 1897, light staining on the reverse & repaired tears on flap.
