Comet: BN '278' (rated RRRR on Chalons) light but largely discernible strike on 1878 (Sep 22) Dodgson cover to London endorsed "Via Torres Straits Brindisi" with 2d single & strip of 3, largely very fine 'COMET' cds (RR) below, Rockhampton transit & London arrival b/s of NO29/78, British '[crown]/R' inspector's h/s, repaired opening tears clear of the stamps & postmarks.
