1902-04 Filled Tablet 5d 1/- & 2/- each with seriffed 'SPECIMEN' Overprint Reading Upwards (5d & 2/-) or Downwards (1/-) BW #34x 42x & 45x, very fresh & lightly to very lightly mounted, Cat $375. The only three values overprinted in Hobart.

1913-14 combination frankings comprising 1) PPC to Germany with NSW ½d & 1d Roo; 2) cover to Germany with Victorian ½d & 1d Roo pair; and 3) philatelic cover with Tasmanian ½d & ½d Roo
Mostly used range on Hagners with some postally used Chalons, handy lot of Sidefaces, Pictorials to 6d x9 (one mint), perfins including 'T' on 1899 5d & 6d and 'OS' on 4d & 5d, postal fiscals & revenues group, etc, condition very mixed, some postmark interest.
1853 Couriers Medium Soft Yellowish Paper 1d pale blue SG 1, three good to large margins & just touching the outer frameline at the top, skilfully ironed-out crease, a bit grubby, Cat £9500. A very rare unused "Number One". BPA Certificate (1958).

1853 Couriers 4d Plate II reprinted complete sheet of 24 (6x4) from the defaced plate in yellow-orange, 'Printed by H&C Best' and 'CW Coard Sc' imprints at the base. Ex Wise (1951).
1855 Chalons Wmk Large Star 2d imperforate plate proof block of 4 in black on ungummed unwatermarked wove paper, margins close to good, ironed-out creases. Blocks are very scarce.
1856-57 No Watermark 2d dull emerald-green SG 20, margins just touching - at lower-right - to good, ironed-out vertical crease, BN '60', Cat £900.
1903 V/Crown Sidefaces 9d blue with the Watermark Sideways BW #T65Aaa (SG 242c) overprinted 'SPECIMEN', large-part o.g. Very rare, and the only example known to us.
TASMANIA - Postal History
1894 OHMS cover with the heading & 'Tasmanian Government/Railways' imprint scored-through, to Victoria with Sidefaces De La Rue strip of 3 & Local Printing 4d buff tied by four of five strikes of the rare boxed 'LOOSE/SHIP LETTER' h/s of Melbourne (b/s), folded at left, minor tonespots & repaired opening tears clear of the stamps & postmarks. Ex Roger Hosking.
1895 commercial cover to Victoria with Sidefaces De La Rue 1d pair & 2d x2 tied by two strikes of the boxed 'LOOSE SHIP LETTER' h/s of Melbourne (b/s), minor aging. Ex Roger Hosking.
1926-28 commercial covers with 'PAID AT/HOBART' continuous machine cancels & eight different slogans all in red, minor duplication, generally fine
