Description: 1867cover endorsed "From 61 Co Wm Grimes Sergeant Royal Marines LI/HMS Galatea Melbourne" and countersigned (Marines Captain) "RF Taylor", to London with GB 1d Plate '91' tied by light 'A81' mailboat cancel used aboard P&O "Tanjore", light 'LONDON N/ A6 /FE17/68' arrival cds in red on the face, repaired flap tears & a few moderate tonespots. Carried per P&O "Geelong", departed Sydney 24/12/1867; "Nubia", departed Galle 18/1/1868; "Tanjore", departed Alexandria 5/2/1868, arrived Southampton 17/2/1868. Ex Gerald Ellott.
