POST OFFICES IN CHINA: 1882 stampless cover to "Genl AC Jones/US Consul/Nagasaki Ja" with 'United Sates Consulate/Ningpo' imprint at upper-left, double-circle 'SHANGHAI/ 3 /MH16/82/LOCAL POST' b/s in blue, American-type double-circle 'I.J. POSTAL AGENCY/MAR/18/SHANGHAI.' cds & superb strikes of 'T'-in-circle & 'DUE/10' handstamps (both with extensively damaged frames), 27˝mm 'NAGASAKI/MAR/23/JAPAN' arrival b/s, minor soiling that hardly detracts from this rare & attractive consular cover.
