Description: REDIRECTED MAIL: 1862 stampless 'Demand of Rural Police Rate' lettersheet signed "BHRooke" & with postmaster's endorsement "Torquay 9.4.62" at left to "Frogmore" (a large property 1˝km west of Latrobe), readdressed to Melbourne & endorsed "Redirected" at U/L, Launceston transit & Melbourne arrival b/s, stained on the reverse. Ex Purves & Askeland. [Despite becoming an inter-colonial letter, no postage was charged]
