ASH PRINTING: 3d black & blue-green marginal vertical strip of 8 from the right of the sheet, the third & fourth units with Overprint Inverted resulting in two tÍte bÍche pairs SG 114d, well centred, unmounted, Cat £14,000+ (mounted). One impression of the overprint forme of 10 (5x2) was applied upside-down. Although containing ten tÍte bÍche pairs, the sheet was divided into only three pieces, left & right-hand strips of 8, and a central block of 24 (3x8) which included six of the tÍte bÍche pairs, and which was acquired by Tim Rybak: sold for $94,875 (2008), an Australian record for any Papuan item at auction.
