Description: Eclectic group mostly with a goldmining connection including government blue papers notably 1856 "Post Office, Ballarat" plus extracts including 1853 (Oct 25) list of post office names before & from 1/1/1854, a group of pieces with signatures of officials & other notables including "Thomas Ham" who printed the Half-Lengths (these being Ex Purves), illustrations from the "London Illustrated News", 1893 "Miner's Right", 1855 large piece with very fine "Butterfly" '48' in red, 1863 cover with an apparently Imperf 4d Beaded Oval, 1877 cover with BN '588' & 'PANMURE' cds, 1876 cover with TPO 2 duplex & 'ASCOT' b/s, etc. Ex Moreton & Brian Peace.
