Description: 1854 envelope to "Bonshaw/Frasers Creek" [sic] endorsed "via Drayton/& Tenterfield" and also "The Postmaster at/Gayndah will please/forward to Drayton", Laureates 1d vermilion pair (faults) with lousy cancels of 'GLADSTONE/NSW' (bold b/s), poor 'GAYNDAH/NSW' b/s & fine oval 'DRAYTON/NEW.S.WALES' transit d/s on the face, also with Armidale & Tenterfield transit b/s, some soiling but quite presentable. A rare cover, with part (undated) cross-written letter within. Drayton PO renamed from Darling Downs 1848; Gayndah PO 1/1/1850; and Gladstone PO 1/7/1854. [The NSW PO at Frazer's Creek opened 1/1/1853. There was no PO at Bonshaw until 1866]
