Description: 1851 mourning cover to Ireland "Overland" rated "1/-" with a poor strike of the crowned Perth handstamp unusually in black & a largely fine strike of the large oval 'SHIP-LETTER/[crown]/WESTERN AUSTRALIA/PAID' handstamp in red, charged "2/2" on arrival, Dublin transit b/s in red & 'LEIGHLINBRIDGE' arrival b/s in blue. [This is a very early mourning cover from WA. Dr Walkley had only one in the pre-stamp period, of 1854, to the same addressee]
