Description: JERVIS BAY: Real photo types comprising four aerial shots (one dated 1939 with six points of interest identified by the writer), two of Base Accommodation plus "The Canberra Guest House" & "Foley's Hotel", also the Hospital, "The Swimming Pool & the Viking", "RAN College Jervis Bay - Employees Camp", "The Warships at Jervis Bay", the Naval Band Dawdling to Church Parade, & a fantastic shot of naval ratings in a long boat with their challenge to champion racehorse Phar Lap, a few with plain backs including a c.1960s humorous card, fine to superb unused, Ex Coo-ee Picture Library. [Jervis Bay is on the NSW south coast. In 1915, it was proclaimed part of the Federal Capital Territory with the purpose of being Canberra's sea port!! It is best known for the Royal Australian Navy shore base, HMAS "Cresswell"] (Qty 13)
