Description: 1854-55 Lithographs Imperf 4d blue SG 3a block of 12 [141-144/161-164/181-184] from Printing Stone 2A the first unit having been Substituted for the Inverted Frame, margins close to large with fragments of two units at the base, neat fold between the third & fourth columns & a closed scissor-cut between units [164/184], a couple of minor stains at left, large-part (brown) o.g. with four units being unmounted, Cat 5400++. A rare and desirable multiple. Ex 'Besancon' (II) where it was inadvertently stated to be 'deep dull blue' SG 3b.
