Description: 1855 cover to the Cape of Good Hope with very fine London Printing 6d SG 3 (3 large margins, just shaved at top-right) tied by very fine '1' cancel of 'PORT ADELAIDE' (equally fine cds at left), oval 'PORT ELIZABETH' transit & 'CAPE TOWN' arrival b/s both in red, the address faded & amateurishly "restored". A very unusual destination. [With the contents]
