Description: 1914 a similar parcel card to "Angorum (Sepik)" with 5pf 60pf & 2mk tied by 'Leipzig-/Plagwitz' cds, very fine FW'hafen arrival b/s & light but clear strike of the Customs seal, a few very minor blemishes. Another really remote destination. [Angoram lies 100km up the Sepik River. The Germans established a "station" there but a post office was opened only in 1934. A similar item also to Angoram sold for $2530 at our auction of 9/2/2008]
