WORLD WAR II: 1943 commercial airmail cover (overpaid ½d) from NSW to Voyce at "Kehili Buin via Kieta/New Guinea" with 'FIELD PO/29AU43/0141' b/s applied at Port Moresby where endorsed on the face "Undeliverable via NG/Try delivery/via Solomons", 'US ARMY/SEP5/1943/POSTAL SERVICE' machine b/s applied at Guadalcanal where endorsed on the face "Try Capt Voyce/FMC" (= Forward Maintenance Centre), minor spotting. Ex John Darnell: sold for $358 after our auction of 5/12/2003.
