Description: 1895 usage of 3d Registration Envelope to the Telegraph Office in Berlin (b/s) with d pink x2, 1d orange & 2d violet x2 tied by untidy Melbourne cancels, bold strike of the rare 'OFFICIALLY REGISTERED/AT G.P.O.' handstamp at left, minor blemishes & opened-out for display. [This marking was absent from both Max Watson's "Registered Mail of Victoria" & Hugh Freeman's extraordinary collection of instructional handstamps. United Kingdom collectors have confirmed that it is not a London marking]
