1840 (Oct 5) entire to Warwick with "Penny Black" Plate IV ['K'-'F'] with large even margins - a superb stamp - tied by fine strike in red of the Maltese Cross cancel of 'STRATFORD ON AVON' (b/s in red), ironed-out filing fold well clear of the stamp & the face professionally cleaned. A very desirable franking of the world's first postage stamp, from the home of England's greatest playwright, William Shakespeare. RPSofL Certificate (2010).
