Description: 1920 (April 9) cover to Ballarat with KGV 1d brown tied by '... POINT/VIC' cds in violet, resealed with stamp selvedge from a sheet of KGV Large Multiple Wmk 1d reds which is tied by a largely very fine strike front of the very rare 'Opened by/Burglars/P.O. Ballarat' handstamp, another better strike on the reverse. A wonderful cover. [Kevin Nelson's similar but defective cover - believed to be the only other recorded example - sold for $5750 at our auction of 27/11/2011]
