Description: 1868 cover to Port Adelaide with Rouletted 2d tied by light 'KAPUNDA' cds with 'TOO LATE' h/s at left, manuscript "WL/21-22 Aug 68" on the face & 21mm unframed 'PO/ 1 /RAILWAY' b/s (slightly affected by repaired flap-tear) & 'PORT ADELAIDE' arrival b/s, opened-out for display. Ex Tony Rigo de Righi & Roy Holland. [The first TPO service was established in 1863 to Gawler, & was extended to Kapunda in 1868, making this cover a very early usage - possibly the earliest recorded? - from the Kapunda Extension]
