Description: 1939-44 Telegraph Censorship group of mostly OHMS covers, with dated double-circle 'Postal & Telegraph Censorship Dept/Secretariat/MINISTRY OF INFORMATION' (stated to be unique) in red; similar with 'PERMIT/BRANCH' in green on two covers to Whitfield King, stated to be the only recorded examples; similar with 'PERMIT BRANCH/No. 6/AINTREE LIVERPOOL' & similar 'No. 13' in rosine; and a similar & different but indistinct type in blue; and oval '___/PASSED BY/No. 20/CENSOR/TELEGRAPH CENSORSHIP' (badly worn) & boxed 'No 69/CENSOR' on telegram forms, the latter with 'WAR OFFICE/26NOV40/S.W.' cds; a few faults.
