Description: CHILE: 1919 (May) printed POW envelope with '.../Ex SMS Drseden Internierungslager Isla-Quiriquina/...' at lower-left & address of the German Aid Agency in Sweden, superb 'Prisoner of war.' cachet & part-'TALCAHUANO' cds, Stockholm arrival b/s, minor blemishes. [The "Dresden" took part in the Battle of Coromel & was the only German ship to survive the Battle of the Falklands. Escaping to the south, she evaded the British in southern Chilean waters until March 1915. With capture imminent, the captain scuttled his ship. The crew were interned by the British on Quiriquina (Concepcion) Island]
