1933 OHMS cover with 'WORKS AND RAILWAYS/CANBERRA/FEDERAL TERRITORY' imprint at lower-left but with 6d Airmail optd 'OS' pair tied by 'MANILLA/11OC33/NSW' cds, to California "via Vancouver", where redirected to Ohio, then to North Carolina. Most usages of this stamp are phillatelic & this one must be queried. If the cover weighed no more than 1oz then the foreign surface rate was 3d + 3d domestic air supplement x2 = 9d only. Was there an additional 3d fee for US airmail from Vancouver?
