Category: PICTURE POSTCARDS - SUBJECTS

Description: MILITARY - WORLD WAR I: Extensive collection of "silks" in five large albums with lots of flags & other patriotic symbols, many featuring Belgian or French subjects including a dozen Bombed Towns, many British Regiments including Royal Navy and Royal Flying Corps, and some American content, etc, a few with photographic inlays. A large number have sentimental or greeting messages & about 270 - a remarkable number - have the original insert cards.

This is by far the finest such collection we have seen, with many elaborate types. Although the condition is a bit variable, the quality throughout is generally fine to very fine & some are quite superb, with little evidence of the "rust" or "foxing" that usually bedevils these fragile souvenirs. Also included are three embroidered handkerchiefs. (Qty 680 approx + inserts)
