Description: ADDINGTON: 1914 illustrated YMCA cover with '.../CHRISTCHUCH - NEW ZEALAND' imprint to Auckland with 1d tied by fair strike of 'MILITARY CAMP/NZ/ 7 /SP14/--' relief cds (no year slug; LRD), overall soiling. With the matching letterhead, the message headed "Christchurch Military Camp/September 14th 1914" states "I suppose you know by this I am going with the troops..." suggesting he hadn't told his family that he had enlisted, minor repaired split.
