Description: 1843 large-part cross-written entire endorsed "Paid 8d" for a double-weight letter, to Plymouth with faint but discernible strikes of the octagonal 'PAID/["Oct 4"]/VASSE' & oval 'SHIP LETTER/WESTERN AUSTRALIA/PAID' handstamps, unusually routed via Ireland with 'DUBLIN/Ship Letter' h/s on the face & 'PLYMOUTH/MY3/1844' arrival b/s, docketed on the face "Swan River Octbr 2nd 1843", rather aged & fragile.
