INDIA USED ABROAD: 1896 usage of 'One Anna' Soldiers & Seamans Envelope to 'JULLUNDUR' (arrival b/s) with fine & very early usage of 'BASE OFFICE/6JU96/ B ' cds at Tokar (Sudan), endorsed "Sant Singh Sepoy 5th Company/35th Sikhs" & counter-signed at left by the Commanding Officer, 'ADEN/JU9/96/ + ' & 'SEA POST OFFICE/ C /JU15/96' transit b/s, a little soiled. [The Suakim Field Force arrived in the Sudan on 1/6/1896 & returned to India in -/12/1896]

PORTUGUESE INDIA: 1943 commercial cover to Bombay with 6r grey & 2tgs da Gama tied to reverse by '.../ESTADO/DA/INDIA/6SET43/DAMAO' cds, imperforate black/yellow registration label on the face, Censor tape tied by 'DHC/332' h/s in blue & 'PASSED/DHC/49' h/s (on reverse), minor flap fault & a little aged.
