1855-57 Blue Paper 1d red SG 4, margins good to large, light Napier cancel, Cat £1800. Robert Odenweller Certificate (2011) states "slightly oxidised at left". However, in our opinion, this is an optical illusion caused by irregular application of the cancelling ink.

REPRINTS: 1884 official reprint of imperf Large Star 6d dull brown with Type C sans-serif 'SPECIMEN.' (11x1mm) handstamp in red, good to large margins, without gum. Holcombe Certificate (1992) states "......is a reprint, and as such is in my opinion genuine. Specimen handstamps on the reprint are very rare and very few exist."
