Well-developed collection with an extensive array of Small Chalons including 1860 Imperf 1d 2d & 6d x2 and Perf 1d 2d x3 including a pair & 6d x2, 1860-61 Small Star Clean-Cut Perf 14-16 set, Perf 14 at Somerset House 1d x2 & 2d x2 and Rough Perf set plus extras, 1862-67 No Wmk including 1d Indian red x2 & 1/- grey x36 including three pairs, 1866-67 Lithos 4d lilac x45 including a pair & 5/- x2, Truncated Star including 1d strip of 4, 3d strip of 3 & 1/- grey x4 including a pair, Q/Crown including 4d yellow x13, 6d strip of 3 on piece & 6d blocks of 4 x2, 1879 No Wmk 6d x3 & 1/- x2; 1880 Litho High Values 2/- x4, 2/6d x10 including a strip of 5, 5/- x4, 10/- x9 including a strip of 6, and 20/- x12 including a remarkable block of 9 all apparently postally used but many of the cancels must be questionable; First Sidefaces including Wmk '5' 1d x3 & 4d x4, Wmk '6' 1d 'QOEENSLAND', 1/- apparently Imperf (fiscally used) and 'Half-penny' on 1d; 1882-95 Large Chalons with 10/- x12 including a CTO block of 4 and £1 x34 including two blocks of 9; an array of later issues including 1/- SG 205 CTO block of 15, Charity CTO duo, 1905-06 Litho Wmk '6' 5/- & £1, 1907-11 Crown/A 2/6d x6, 5/- x2, 10/- x2 & £1 x2 plus a small parcel piece with 10/- & £1, some varieties including 2d Cracked Plate x4, etc etc; plus some Fiscals including 1871-72 to 20/- x15 including a strip of 4, etc; generally fine to very fine with some postmark interest throughout, STC £40,000+ but that includes the 1880 High Values.

Small Chalons selection neatly arranged but in no particular order including imperf plate proofs in black of the 2d & 'REGISTERED' pair, Large Star Imperf 2d that looks great but needs to be expertised (& which we have not included in our valuation), 1860 Clean-Cut Perf 6d & 1/- SG 6 & 10, 4d lilac, 2/- blue SG 119 apparently unused pair, multiples including 4d yellow pair with Rays '92' & 6d yellow-green strip of 5, etc, also reprints including 1d to 1/- + 'REGISTERED' strips of 6 with large-part o.g., etc, generally very fine. Several noted as Ex Dale-Liechtenstein.
Selection of mostly single imperforate plate proofs in issued colours comprising Small Chalons 3d 2/- 5/- & 10/-, Unissued Bell ½d with Void Background, First Sideface 1d pair & 2d, Lined Background 1d, 2d pair, 3d & 2/-, Void Background ½d pair & Charity 1d, plus 1871 Postal Fiscals 6d x2 (one with 'CANCELLED' h/s), 2/-, 2/6d & 5/-, then colour trials of the Two Corners 2½d imperf x5 including a pair & perf x3, and 5d perf x5, finally Four Figures 2½d perf x2 & 2/- in apple-green, generally very fine. Collection balance with Small Chalons 2d block of 6 with 'SPECIMEN' h/s & 10/- imperf plate proof, 1897-1908 mint set x2, 'COMMONWEALTH' 9d mint Type A-B setenant blocks of 4 from both issues, 1907-11 Irregular Compound Perfs ½d & 3d blocks of 6, ½d 5d & 6d strips of 3 and blocks of 4 ½d to 1/- (the last with Ceremuga Certificate), Postal Fiscals 1871 Small Format perf plate proofs x3, and a few others, the proofs all have faults but are presentable, otherwise generally very fine.

1860-61 Small Star Rough Perf 14-16 3d brown SG 16 marginal block of 12 (4x3) from the left of the sheet, large-part o.g. with eight units being unmounted, Cat £1020++ for mounted singles. Ex 'Besancon' (II). An unusually large & attractive multiple.

1862-67 No Wmk annotated collection including 1d Indian red x7, 1d vermilion mint x3, 2d blue mint, 2d misperforated Jumbo-Dwarf Pair, 3d unused, 1/- grey unused & used x14 including a pair, generally fine to very fine, Cat £1800 approximately. Ex Francis Kiddle.
1862-67 No Watermark Perf 13 1d orange-vermilion SG 22 block of 16 (4x4), virtually full o.g. with the eight central units being unmounted, Cat £1760++ for mounted singles. Ex 'Mayfair Find' and 'Besancon' (III).
1866-67 Lithographs Second Transfer 4d grey-lilac with 'FOUR' Missing SG 56b, small thin, Rays cancel slightly impinges on the variety, Cat £600. [On this stamp 'FOUR' has been largely erased. Bernie Manning had an example with 'F' present but 'OUR' completely erased]
1868-78 Crown/Q 2d perforated colour trial in pale ultramarine on gummed watermarked paper, large-part o.g. Pretty.
1868-78 Crown/Q Perf 12 6d yellow-green SG 106 block of 9 from the top of the sheet, the upper units with Horizontal Watermark Line Only (Crown/Q Omitted), minor stains/tonespots, large-part o.g., Cat £2250++.
