Folio of ephemera related to Qantas, TAA etc with a good number of photographs with contemporary annotations &/or autographs on the reverse plus some later-generation prints, also letters & covers including badly damaged from GB with 'Salvaged From/ATHENA' cachet. Interesting lot.
1919 Ross Smith vignette with margins AAMC #27b, exceptional centring, expertising marks on the reverse of Kessler, Raybaudi & Enzo Diena otherwise unmounted & superb, AAMC Cat $20,000 for mounted mint. Enzo Diena (1988, in English: "...it has intact original gum and is in perfect condition") & Chris Ceremuga ("Extremely rare in unmounted condition") Certificates.
With "The Ross Smith Stamp [sic] & its Postal History" by Tom Frommer (2011) in which the author illustrates every recorded cover, piece, and loose example. He was able to identify only 36 examples with the margins intact, of which this example is #C28, and a further 16 from which the margins have been removed. It is believed that at least half of the 'miniature sheets' are held by institutions.

1943-45 TRANS-INDIAN OCEAN FLIGHTS: Attractively presented display on 23pp with Karachi-Ceylon extension covers x3, various airgraphs including first & last services and one with Kangaroo Postman - being the inspiration for the 1944 Christmas aerogramme - plus two unused forms, 1944 (Mar 16) Ceylon-Australia believed to be the 100th Catalina flight, 1944 Liberator service opening flights (one with accidental date error) & 1945 Sydney-Colombo- Sydney per Liberator; also Aerogrammes carried on Re-Opening of Australia-GB Airmail Service, First Duplicated "Kangaroo" Service, 1944 Christmas flight (with Kangaroo Postman printed within) & 1945 Lancastrian service opening flight x2; many are pilot-signed.
