Greeting Cards 1880s 'Australian New Year Card Series' showing Kangaroo with swag & billy can, published in Sydney by Gibbs, Shallard & Co., beautiful colour chromolithography, edges trimmed slightly. Very early example of an Australian themed Christmas/New Year greeting card.
Newspapers box full of 1860s-1920s newspapers & pages, noted 'The Illustrated London News - Australasian Edition'; 'The Ballarat Courier' including Christmas Supplements for 1904, 1905 (missing covers), 1907, 1909 & 1910; 'The Graphic'; 'Illustrated Sporting & Dramatic News' Christmas Number 1906; 'The Bulletin'; 'Punch'; 'Table Talk'. Also 1896 French confirmation certificate. Poor/Fair condition, though interesting group with some attractive illustrations.
