Used selection including Star 1d red with Left Point Broken (uncancelled), 1d+½d x2, 1½d black-brown Die 2, 1½d brown to the Bahamas (b/s) & to USA uprated with 1½d cutout, & 2d orange, Star with 'POSTAGE' 2d scarlet, 'THREE/HALFPENCE' on 2d orange (stained) & 'POSTAGE' 2d scarlet, KGVI 3½d registered to Spain, 5d light blue uprated with 4c Coil for internal airmail, etc, fine to very fine.
CTO group with Star ½d 1d & 2d violet, 1½d brown & 2d orange, QEII 5d light blue with Royal Agricultural Show Overprint & 5d blue Long Envelope (FDI), also 5d red Long Envelope with 'SPECIMEN' Handstamp in violet.
1916-22 Star 1½d black-brown Die 3 (Triangles Removed) ACSC #EP18, unused, Cat $350. Superb!
1928 KGV Oval ½d orange, 1d green, 1½d red (flap fault) & 2d brown ACSC #EP29-31 & 33, all CTO with 'GPO/20DE28/MELBOURNE' cds (the 2d so faintly that it could be mistaken as unused), Cat $1100. Unissued. [All but the 1½d were never available from the Post Office. The ½d & 2d in brown were also never available for Stamped to Order issues, except that the ½d was used for the uprated 1d #ES65]
1937-51 KGVI Oval 2½d red size 120x95mm as ACSC #EP43 but on off-white stock (as #EP41), used at Melbourne with 'KEEP PRICES DOWN/BUY SAVINGS/CERTIFICATES' slogan. Unlisted; the same size on buff #EP43 Cat $300.
1937-51 KGVI Oval 3d red Knife 2 ACSC #EP45(2) with scarce Hobart 'COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/1901 JUBILEE 1951' slogan of 4JLY/1951, minor blemishes. [This envelope was on issue for no more than 6 months. Most examples seen are uprated]
1951 KGVI Crowned-Circle 3½d Knife 2 ACSC #EP48 & another with Albino Embossing both also with Strong Offset on the Reverse, unused. Unlisted. [The ACSC lists an albino embossing on envelopes with Knife 1 - Cat $500 - but not with Knife 2]
1951-57 KGVI 3½d, QEII Large Dies 3d green (unissued), 3½d red & 3½d orange, Small Dies 3½d orange & 4d all with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint in Red (79x12mm), Cat $900.
1960 QEII 5d light blue Long Envelope with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint in Red as ACSC #EP59w but with larger overprint 105x16mm. [The ACSC records only the standard size 79x12mm overprint]
1966-75 Decimal Issues mostly unused with Albino Embossings ACSC #EP67c 69c & 70c, 10c Embossing Inverted on the Reverse #EP71ca, 4c with 'SPECIMEN' Handstamp & Long Envelope with 'SPECIMEN ONLY' Handstamp, Defence Forces 5c unused & used (dubious), etc, generally very fine, Cat $700+.
1966-78 QEII 7c Albino Impression ACSC #69c used at South Perth, improperly taxed & QEII 6c affixed. Curious!
MILITARY: 1916 (Aug) Second Issue 1d with 'AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCE.' at the Base but with the Text Re-Set & 'Regimental Number' now 35mm Long & 19mm Below the Printer's Rule ACSC #ME2 on buff stock unused, Cat $1500. Rare: the finest of the few examples we have seen. [The address on many examples of the initial issue was partly obscured if a machine cancellation was used; this problem was overcome by re-setting the text; this second issue was available for only one month & only two used examples have been recorded]
MILITARY: KGV Sideface 1d 'AIF ABROARD' ACSC #ME3B (flap stuck) & 'AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCE/ABROAD' #ME5A, unused, Cat $600.
