BASUTOLAND: 1942 (June 12) cover to a Lesotho woman in Basutoland (!) with Australia 1d & 9d tied by 'AUS FPO 34' cds in use at Tripoli (Lebanon) & FPO No 34 registration cachet in violet, 'LERIBE' transit & 'PITSENG' arrival b/s. An extraordinary origin/destination cover. The sender was presumably a Basuto native, probably serving with South African Forces. [Ted Proud records FPO 34 at Tripoli in Palestine 14.1.1942-26.6.1942 only]
GAMBIA: 1938-46 KGVI set (*) plus 1953 QEII Pictorials set (**); also Transvaal ½d Postal Card with Zuid Afrikaansche Spoorweg (Railways) printed message on back unused; condition generally very fine.

KENYA UGANDA & TANGANYIKA - MAFIA ISLAND: 1915 (Jan) 'G.R./MAFIA' Handstamp in Reddish Violet on 4h green & 7½h carmine SG M2C & 3C (Michel 2b & 3b) marginal example from the base of the sheet, unmounted, Cat £425 (mounted) or €1400 (unmounted). Separate Chris Ceremuga Certificates (2000).
NIGERIA - LAGOS: 1904 KEVII master die proof in black on glazed card with '31DEC02' & 'BEFORE/HARDENING' handstamps. Superb! Ex De La Rue Archives.
NYASALAND: 1937-51 KGVI issues complete plus 5/- SG 141a & a second 10/- that we don't think is SG 142, and the Postage Dues, Cat £800.
RHODESIA: Arms selection with some better postally used including 1896 Overprints on CofGH set, 1897 Arms £1 SG 73, 1898-1908 £1 SG 90a, etc, generally very fine.
RHODESIA: 1898-1908 BSAC Small Arms 1d rose horizontal pair Imperf Between SG 77c, light 'KOPJE SALISBURY/ 19FEB02/S RHODESIA' cds, Cat £900.
SIERRA LEONE: 1963 Second Anniversary Overprints '11 Shillings' on £1 SG 269, characteristic toning for this issue but unmounted, Cat £850. [Only 540 printed. A similar example sold at a Sydney auction in 2018 for $750+]

SOUTH WEST AFRICA: 1917 ½d Postal Card with 'KARIBIB' cds and '105' censor, two 1919 German Postal Cards to Swakopmund both with 'PASSED BY CENSOR' English & bilingual cachets, 1924 Germany PPC to Windhuk with South African overprinted ½d & 1d Postage Dues, postmarks including two with Railways ovals (one on 4d 'SWA' overprint Registration Envelope alongside 'ARIAMSVLEI' cachet), 'EXHIBITION' and 'MARIENTAL' altered German-era cds, 1936 1d 'SWA' Postal Card uprated for 6d airmail rate to Germany, etc, condition variable.
SOUTHERN RHODESIA: 1929 OHMS formular Registration Envelope with 'General Post Office, Salisbury' imprint at L/L, to Canada with Admirals 1d & 6d tied 'SALISBURY SR/REGISTERED' cds, black-on-pink R label and 'DIST. POSTMASTER'S OFFICE' oval d/s in violet (another on back) alongside, London Winnipeg & Moose Jaw transits and 'AVONLEA/AP15/29' arrival b/s, a couple of very minor blemishes.
ZANZIBAR: Piece of ungummed Multiple Rosettes Watermark paper (134x60mm) as used for issues of Zanzibar, Papua & Sudan.
ZANZIBAR: 1895-98 Surcharges Type 3 '2½' in Red on 2a blue SG 38, 'ZANZ BAR' cds with Missing 'I', Cat £350.
ZANZIBAR: 1908-09 Sultan Ali bin-Hamoud 1c to 5r imperforate plate proof singles in close to the issued colours on ungummed watermarked paper, no 25c. Superb!
ZANZIBAR: Two exhibit pages with 1913 master die proof with blank value tablets & faint guidelines in the margins in black on thin card recessed in a larger mount, 6c violet Postal Card in the same design with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, 1936 25c imperf colour trial pair in purple on white paper with ruled blue lines on the reverse, 1936 Jubilee set on registered philatelic cover, 1952 20c & 50c Aerogrammes unused, etc. Ex "Whiskers".
