1945 airmail cover to Melbourne with very fine strike of the rare 'HMAS HOBART/2SEPT/ 1945/TOKYO JAPAN' woodcut datestamp in red at lower-left & KGVI 3d purple-brown tied by "dumb" bars cancel, flap fault.
1945 cover to Western Australia with KGVI 3d purple-brown tied by boxed 'PAQUEBOT' cancel and a very fine strike of the rare (not seen by us before) 'TOKYO/2 SEPT 1945/HMAS HOBART' double-ring datestamp in mauve tying Japanese Occupation of Philippines 5c, some light toning.
1946 (8 Apr) cover from NSW to Iwa Kuni flown by Beaufighter A8-346 (signed by pilot and navigator) as part of a massed Escort Flight by 'NO 93 "ATTACK" SQUADRON' known as the "Green Ghosts", 6d Kookaburra tied on arrival by 'AFPO 28/9AP46/RAAF JAPAN' cds with 'AIF FORCE PO 28' (with manuscript 'BOFU JAPAN' applied beneath) red registration label alongside, subsequently returned to Narromine arriving '20/AP/1946' (b/s), minor blemishes. Not recorded by Eustis.
