"Back of the Book" selection with Postage Dues including 1914-22 & 1951-52 sets, 1955-57 5d to 5/- etc; Officials with 'I.R.' QV 6d, 'O.W.' KEVII ½d & 1d, 'ARMY' KEVII 6d, 'GOVT/PARCELS' QV 4½d, 9d green, 9d Jubilee, 1/- brown & 1/- green and KEVII 9d etc, generally fine but there are some faults & the Parcels stamps have typically heavy cancels, Cat £2000+. 1840-1967 mostly used collection including Penny Black with 3 margins, White Line Added 2d with 4 margins, Embossed 6d partly cut-to-shape, good variety of Surface Printed 3d 4d 6d & 1/- issues, "Lilac & Greens" 1/- with good colour, later QV issues to 5/- plus a fair Wmk Imperial Crown £1 green, KEVII to 5/- x2, 1913-19 Seahorses 10/- x2, a little "back-of-book" including optd 'GOVT/PARCELS' 1/- green, mixed condition. 1840 "Tuppenny Blue" 2d blue SG 5, margins good to huge with a fragment of the adjoining unit at top, untidy Maltese Cross cancel in red still a most attractive stamp, Cat £650.
1854-57 Blued Paper Small Crown Perf 16 1d red-brown SG 17 & Large Crown Perf 14 1d brick-red SG 30, both with large-part o.g., Cat £550; plus Imperf 1d red-brown x11, mostly with full margins, a few faults, some with numeral cancels. (Qty 13)

1858-79 Penny Red 1d Plate '141' block of 10 (5x2), a few minor tonespots, unmounted, Cat £1100++.
1883-84 High Values White Paper 10/- pale ultramarine SG 183a (Spec #K14s) with 'SPECIMEN' h/s (Type 9), well centred, disturbed gum from having been sweated-off a ledger page, Cat £400 (2006).
1884-88 One Pound Wmk Three Crowns £1 brown-lilac SG 185 ['M - B'], good colour & well centred, two strikes of oval 'REGISTERED/GRACECHURCH ST EC' d/s, Cat £2400.
1913 Seahorses Waterlow 2/6d sepia to £1 green (a couple of nibbled perfs) between SG 399 & 404, far better-than-average centring, steel cancellations, Cat £2100. An attractive quartet. (Qty 4)
1929 Postal Union Congress (PUC) £1 black SG 438, well centred, light central steel cancellation, Cat £550.
1952-2006 collection with issues to 1998 largely complete in three New Age albums including Wildings with 1958-61 Phosphor & Phospor-Graphite sets, early 1960s Phosphor commemoratives, simplified pre-decimal & decimal Machins including Regionals, 1998-2006 in stockbooks with M/Ss, condition generally fine.
