Pre-decimal collection with QV Jubilee set, KEVII two sets to 1/- + one 2/6d & 6d with 'ARMY/OFFICIAL' Overprint, KGV set to 1/- plus several Control Number singles & Irish Overprints, both Wembley sets, PUC Pound (aged gum but unmounted), Photogravure Control Number strips of 3 to 1/- (ex 1½d & 2½d), Re-Engraved Seahorses, KGVI High Values x2 sets, Wedding £1 Control Number block of 4 (**), Festival set, De La Rue Castles, Postage Dues 1924-31 & 1959-63 sets, etc, some hinge remainders but generally very fine, some are unmounted. Album of QV Penny Reds including hundreds of Imperfs, many identified by plate, lots of postmark interest with a variety of Maltese Crosses & an array of Barred Numerals, condition variable.
Collection with four scruffy Penny Blacks, 1841 Penny Reds Imperf complete reconstruction of 240 positions with multiples including two strips of 4, Embossed 6d x2 10d (very attractive but rebacked) & 1/- x2 all cut-square, 1882 5/- SG 124 x2, 1953-80 issues largely complete mint &/or used, an album of Jersey & Guernsey, etc, condition variable. High catalogue value.
Carton with mostly KGV-QEII used in two springback albums and mint with decimal gutter pairs to 1984 including 1977 £1 £2 & £5 with Traffic Lights, postal history plus literature x12 including "Local Posts of London 1680- 1840" & "British PO Numbers 1844-1906"; and some KGVI Pitcairn and Gilbert & Ellice, condition variable.
1858-1970 Collection with QV to 10/- blue noted fine used 1/- brown Crown Wmk, KGV including Downey Heads, Wembley 1924 & 1925 mint and used, KGVI up to £ values used, then QEII mostly both mint & used with later issues unmounted including some booklet panes, phosphors and Machins, condition overall fine.
1840 "Penny Black" 1d black SG 1-3 group of 6 singles - one on piece - three with 3-3½ margins & three with full margins (but one of these is thinned at upper-right), Cat £2250.
1840 "Penny Black" & "Penny Brown" [Q-J] matching "pair" both with full margins, "Penny Black" - full margins, faint crease - tied to Nov 1840 entire, and an 1839 Scottish entire.
1841 Penny Reds annotated pages with Plates 1b to 11 complete, Plates 12 to 45 complete plus Plate 35 [KJ] with 'J' Doubled, Ivory Heads x15, Numerals in Maltese Crosses '1' to '12' complete & mostly very fine including superb strikes of '2', '3' on a neat little cover, '6', '7' x2, '8' '9' & '12', etc, also 2d blue with Lines Added x8 plus a pair with two very fine strikes of '12'-in-Maltese-Cross & four covers, condition variable but many are fine to very fine. High catalogue value.

1841 White Lines Added 2d blue SG 14 Plate 3, margins good to huge with portion of the adjoining stamp at left, trace of soiling at upper-right, Cat £6250. PTS Certificate (2016) states "Unused...is genuine".
1850 Trial Separations 1d red-brown Plate 101 Alphabet 1 Perf 16 by Henry Archer, Spec Cat £825. A rare stamp. [Gibbons states "Archer ended his experiments in 1850 and plates with corner letters Alphabet 2 did not come into use until 1852..."]

1854-70 Line Engraved Issues including 1d Perf 16 SG 17 strip of 3 (one with corner fault) on very fine 1855 cover to an officer in the Crimea, 2d Plate 4 on 1856 mourning cover, Wmk Large Crown Perf 16 1d x2 & 2d Plate 5, 1d with Letters Engraved on Plates 50 & 51 x2 each, 1d Reserve Plates 15 16 & 17 x2 each, 1858-79 Numbered Plates largely complete set (missing only Plates '77' & '225'), 1870 Halfpenny complete set of the 15 plates (but Plate '9' is unconvincing) plus an apparently imperforate mint stamp (rather aged), 1870 1½d Plates 1 & 3 x2 (one mint with large-part o.g.), etc, condition variable.
1855-83 Surface Printed Issues with most SG Numbers & Plates to 2/- blue x4, condition variable but generally sound to fine with some very fine examples including 1/- SG 90, 10d horizontal pair & 1/- brown with the Watermark Inverted SG 151Wi, a few unused including '3d' on 3d SG 159 with large-part o.g., some postmark interest, Cat £25,000 approximately.
1867-80 Spray of Rose 1/- green Plate '5' as SG 117 but the famous "Stock Exchange Forgery" [ED] tied to small piece by 'STOCK EXCHANGE/JY1/72/EC' cds, Spec Cat £850. With a damaged normal stamp for comparison. [Gibbons state this is a "skillful" forgery & the colour is certainly convincing. However, the actual production is quite crude & the lithographed production should not fool anybody]
1867-80 Spray of Rose 2/- brown SG 121 [AF], untidy London duplex, Cat £4200. A fine example of this rare stamp.
1867-83 High Values comprising Wmk Maltese Cross 5/- Plate 2 SG 127, and White Paper with Wmk Anchor 5/- 10/- & £1 SG 134-136, usual reperforating & heavy cancels on the first 5/- & 10/-, Cat £13,400. A sound quartet.
1867-83 High Values White Paper £5 orange SG 137 [AC] marginal example from the left of the sheet, very lightly mounted, Cat £14,500. A very attractive example of this iconic stamp.
