1939-41 covers with censor labels comprising 'G [Coat of Arms] R/OPENED BY CENSOR/HONG KONG' KM#L2 (rated 7) on 1939 cover to Japan; ditto, with thicker lettering #L3 (rated 6) tied to the face by boxed '41' #C6 (rated 4) in green on 1940 cover from Thailand to the USA; ditto, with sans serif lettering #L4A (rated 7) on airmail cover from 'KUNMING' to Shanghai; ditto, red/white with sans serif lettering #L4B (rated 7) & small boxed '15' in green & '112' both #C6 (rated 4) on Jan 1941 cover to Shanghai; and ditto, blue/white with sans serif lettering #L4C(rated 8) & small boxed '23' #C6 (rated 4) on mid-1941 cover from Bangkok to the United States. 1941 commercial air cover endorsed "Per CNA/via Rangoon", to NSW with KGVI 25c pair & Centenary $1 tied by 'KOWLOON/9DE/41' cds & partly obscured by red/white 'OPENED BY CENSOR' label, largely superb strike of the boxed 'DETAINED IN HONGKONG/BY JAPANESE/FROM DECEMBER 1941 TO SEPTEMBER 1945' h/s. A beautiful cover. [The last pre-war airmail from Hong Kong was on 5/12/1941 via Rangoon. On the 8th - the day after the attack on Pearl Harbour - the "Hong Kong Clipper II" was strafed at her mooring & sunk by the Japanese]
1965 International Co-Operation Year 10c SG 216 sheet of 50, several units with Missing Hyphen & vertical strip of 6 [R5/3 to R10/3] with Missing Hyphen and Broken Lettering in 'INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION YEAR', sheet almost separated centrally & a few minor bends otherwise fine unmounted.
