7(2)z 2d grey Die I complete left-hand pane of 60 (6x10, no side margins) with Scratch off Coast of Albany  & Scratch from 'E' of 'PENCE' to 'T' of 'POSTAGE' [28/34] BW #7(2)d e & f plus the 'CA' Monogram #7(2)z, generally well centred, unmounted, Cat $4000+ plus $2600 for the varieties & monogram strip of 3. A recent discovery: never before on the market .
7(2)zd 2d grey Die I complete left-hand pane of 60 (6x10, no side margins) divided into blocks of 30 with Scratch off Coast of Albany  & Scratch from 'E' of 'PENCE' to 'T' of 'POSTAGE' [28 & 34] BW #7(2)d e & f plus part-Harrison Imprint, generally well centred, unmounted, Cat $4650+. A recent discovery: never before on the market .
7z 2d grey Die I with the Watermark Inverted 'CA' Monogram block of 6 (3x2) BW #7az with Retouched Left-Hand Frame & Shading NW of Map [1L55], very fresh but with a few minor tonespots, the upper units very lightly mounted, all lower units are unmounted, Cat $17,875++ (for the inverted watermark monogram strip of 3 including the variety and three singles being all mounted).

13(2)zc 3d olive-green Plate 2 'JBC' Monogram single BW #13(2)zc, light bend in the margin & minor aging, lightly mounted, Cat $1250. Ex Arthur Gray (where described as "vibrant colour" & "very fine"): sold for $US720 (= $A1000 then).
21(3)d 6d brown with Broken Leg BW #21(3)d + KGV 1½d scarlet tied by 'ENMORE/24NO24/NSW' cds - just clear of the variety - to double-rate commercial cover to Georgia USA "Per RMS Ventura/via San Francisco", red/white registration label, Sydney & San Francisco transit & 'ATLANTA GA/DEC/22/1924/REGISTERED' arrival b/s, minor blemishes. A very rare & desirable franking. [The rate was 3d for the first ounce + 1½d for each successive ounce + 3d registration = 7½d]
27a 9d violet with the Watermark Inverted BW #27a, unmounted, Cat $375 (mounted) but unpriced unmounted. Advertised retail "POR".
32(2)ze 1/- blue-green Plate 2 TS Harrison One-Line Imprint pair BW #32(2)ze, Cat $15,000.
Notwithstanding the ACSC comment in respect of Lot 18 this, not the 6d blue, is the rarest of all the non-bicolour imprints : the ACSC states that only one block of 4 - Ex Arthur Gray, sold in February 2007 for $US29,900 - is recorded. In fact, Stuart Hardy had a block of 8, that sold for $51,260.
37A 2/- brown BW #37A corner block of 4 from the upper-left of the sheet, a trifle aged still very fresh with excellent facial appearance, unmounted, Cat $10,000+.
37F 2/- brown block of 4, Sydney cds. Simon Dunkerley Certificate (2008) identifies this as the "aniline" printing BW 37F, Cat $8000+. However, we have reservations about this identification & recommend that it be bought "on extension".
38 2/- maroon, well centred, unmounted, Cat $500. Advertised retail $625.
44D 5/- grey & pale yellow BW #44D, well centred, Cat $400.
44D 5/- grey-black & yellow-orange BW #44B block of 4, unmounted, Cat $9000+.
44ze 5/- grey & pale yellow John Ash ('N' over 'MP') Imprint pair BW #44ze, the gum a bit aged, unmounted, Cat $3000 as a mounted imprint pair but $4000+ as two unmounted singles.
48B 10/- grey & deep "aniline" pink BW #48B marginal example from the base of the sheet, unmounted, Cat $2500

52A £1 chocolate & blue BW #52A with White Flaw in Gulf of Carpentaria #52(D)g, well centred, signed in pencil by Alberto Diena & another, unmounted, Cat $14,500. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2013).
53 £1 grey, well centred, the gum a trifle aged, unmounted, Cat $3250.
53 £1 deep grey BW #53B corner block of 6 [R4-6/10-12] from the upper-right of the sheet, unlisted varieties Damaged Upper-Right Corner  & Nick at Top of Left-Hand Frame , a few slightly short perfs, minor gum disturbance on the lower units & in the upper margin, the upper units are unmounted, Cat $12,450+ (as singles). Ex TE Field, Jack Kilfoyle and Lord Leonard Steinberg. [Stuart Hardy's better centred but vertical block of 6 - two units unmounted - sold for $11,650]
