[Apparently the German firm Behn Meyer & Co provided services to passengers on German ships visiting Penang]

MALAYAN STATES: KEDAH: WWII commercial cover endorsed "Written in English" & on the flap "Langkawi Rubber Est/Kuah/ Langkawi", to the "General Hospital/Alor Star" with Japanese Occupation 8c tied to the reverse by largely fine strike of the scarce 'LANGKAWI/SYBURI' (= Kedah) cds, censor chop on the face. [Langkawi is an island in the Andaman Sea & is part of Kedah State]
BRUNEI: Small group on leaves noted 'MALAYA-/BORNEO/EXHIBITION' set * (ex 50c), 1931 set (ex 4c maroon, 30c & 50c) mixed * & used, etc, also extras loose in envelopes, plus Japanese Occupation overprints x17 values (some duplication) CTO on two covers and unused 15c Registration Envelope with Occupation handstamp (flap sealed), condition variable but many fine.
BRUNEI: 1942 Registration Envelope 15c blue with Japanese Occupation Handstamp, minor blemishes, flaps sealed, unused.
LABUAN: 1896 Jubilee of Annexation 1c to 8c SG 83-88 complete blocks of 4, a few minor tonespots, postal cds, Cat £440+. Ex 'Sentosa'.

SARAWAK: 1941 (Sep 10) very late commercial usage to Kuching of Embossed 15c orange Registration Envelope size H Tan #RE6b with 1c violet x2 & 3c green x2 tied by cds and boxed 'LIMBANG' registration h/s in violet alongside, a few blemishes, Cat M$600 (1999).
SARAWAK: Japanese Occupation 1943 Vertical Revenue Overprints 4c, 5c with Horizontal Handstamp, 6c carmine, 8c carmine with Horizontal Handstamp, 15c blue & 20c between Tan #SJ6 & 17 imprint blocks of 8 or 9, each CTO with '9/27/2604' cds, plus the same values tied to local philatelic cover by the same cds (date slugs partly inverted); also oval Revenue 'Received Inwards' chop mostly in red on 10 values to $1 plus a few extras, large-part o.g.; a couple of blocks with minor creases but condition generally very fine, Cat M$1000 approximately. [A client has advised that the cds is of Tundong. It is known only on backdated items from the period shortly after the war]
